Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Released from Hospital in Nigeria Following Tragic Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday evening. The athlete was part of a serious road collision in the Lagos area on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.
Healing from Light Wounds
The sports star had remained in the hospital while recovering from minor injuries, his management team had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.
“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the commissioner stated.
Honoring the Deceased
The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two dear friends.”
His release from the hospital comes as the global fight fans offered its support for the star in the aftermath of the heartbreaking incident.
