The young golfer will have numerous prominent cheerleaders as she starts her professional golf debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to a former US president, obtained a special exemption to compete at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, owns several golf courses and regularly plays against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she mentioned.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Simply stay calm."
"My grandpa basically suggested to play and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's rather occupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has played in only three events in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
Yet she's able to receive tips from golf legend, who is dating her mother.
"He is the greatest golfer in the world," the young golfer said.
"And he's a superior human being. He suggested me to compete, have fun, following the flow."
She'll challenge multiple the biggest names in the sport at this tournament, such as world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to new audiences, particularly with the next generation.
The social media influencer has millions of followers and just introduced a personal apparel and wellness brand.
