Bouldering in the Peak District
Even total newcomers will soon be scaling protected Peak District outcrops on this weekend session. Learners will learn tying in, belaying and several methods of ascent, as well as rappelling. MoclĂn, a ancient white village in southern Spain, around a short drive from Granada, is the inspiring location for this painting holiday. Painters of every skill level – even novices – will discover how to conceive and execute non-representational pieces. A portion of the time will be spent in the open air, working on structured activities out in nature. These initial charcoal drawings and paintings will then be expanded upon in the studio, with attendees creating several abstract landscapes in acrylics to be displayed in the village. The group has sole use of the venue, which is set around an central patio and has a rooftop with views over the hills. The fee includes five days of art instruction; full board; and an outing to the local castle and additional local sights.

Plant-Based Cooking in the Algarve
This sun-drenched foodie getaway, based at a villa by the river in the inland Algarve, is draws inspiration from the vegetarian dishes of celebrated cooks. Guests will learn to produce selection of small dishes, take part in a falafel-making workshop, refine brunch dishes such as shakshuka, and make substantial main courses including a rich mushroom stew and moussaka. There are visits to the village market and a nearby winery to taste Portuguese wines, along with free time for walks by the Funcho River, to relax on the deck or take a dip in the pool. Street Dance in Buckinghamshire
Hip Hop Don’t Stop is an uplifting, welcoming weekend adults’ street dance camp in High Wycombe. The format throughout the camp is a party-style group warmup, followed by several 90-minute workshops teaching different street dance styles, then an hour-long freestyle session to show off new moves. Dancers are split into levels according to skill level, so it is suitable for those who are completely new to street dance, all the way to experienced performers or teachers. The camp doesn’t include accommodation but there are a number of places to stay within walking distance, and it is 23-35 minutes by train into London.

Maritime Singing Weekend in St Ives
This coastal town is the perfect spot for a maritime music retreat. Guests will be taught historic sailing songs from a folk singer and vocal coach, and try their hand at composing original ones. There will be voice exercises, breath control techniques, stagecraft advice and a closing performance. The holiday is based at a country house overlooking St Ives Bay. All meals are included, such as a traditional tea on the first day, cooked or continental breakfasts, lunches to go and evening meals. Traditional rum, unfortunately, is not included. Creative Writing in Greece
Writer and lecturer Greg Mosse leads the regular sessions on this writing retreat. He covers everything from story structure, character development, setting and suspense, to submitting work to agents. The retreat is based at a traditional complex in Vamos at the base of the Lefka Ori – ten one- and two-bedroom cottages surround a central garden with a pool (companions are encouraged to share).
